Support us

There are a number of ways that you can support us to deliver accredited awards to young people.

Some of the young people that we work with come from areas of high deprivation and disadvantaged backgrounds. The work  we do allows young people to participate in the Expedition Section of  The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award enabling them to have a better start in life.

Listed below are a few ways you can support us.

Online Shopping

We have partnered with www.givingabit.com which means that if you sign up for free & join us, then every time you shop online you will create a donation for us – at no cost to you. There are thousands of shops including Amazon, John Lewis, Sainsbury’s and many more, who are happy to pay for the donation, usually as a percentage of your basket total. You could even save money as they have all the latest discount codes too. Sign up today at www.givingabit.com – it’s free!

Donations Of Equipment

We are creating a pool of outdoor equipment such as waterproofs and fleeces that young people, who are unable to purchase their own, can borrow. We have found that if young people cannot afford equipment this is a barrier that prevents them participating in the activities we do. So if you have any unwanted outdoor equipment that is still usable and you would like to donate it to us we would only be too pleased to take it off your hands. You could either post it to us or if you live in the Merseyside area we could arrange to have it collected.

Volunteers

We are always looking for adult volunteers to help deliver our programmes. Adult volunteers help to reduce our costs and enables us to work with more young people. To find out more please contact us to arrange an informal interview. We will require you to have a full DBR check and to provide two references.

Trustees

You can volunteer to be one of our Trustees on our Management Committee. We are a friendly bunch of people who only want to improve opportunities for young people. We meet about once a month and take on various tasks such as writing funding bids and fund raising. We also would like to extend the number of Young Trustees aged between 16 – 25 years of age that are involved with Award Solutions. A Young Trustee offers you the experience of volunteering with responsibility attached.
